Information

The meteorological data base contains the following variables: pressure, windspeed, temperature, dew point, weather, cloudiness, precipitation and others. A more detailed description of the meteorological data is available in German.

For easy checking of the meteorological conditions during ERS SAR acquisitions, plots of temperature and rainfall (like in the figure above) were produced. The vertical lines in the plots represent the exact dates and times of the ERS SAR data takes. The text beside these lines indicate the satellite (ERS-1 or ERS-2), the orbit number, and the acquisition date. Plots from all stations in the area of interest can be displayed by clicking on the WMO number in the table below. The first two rows of the table contain the track and frame numbers of the ERS SAR scenes that are within a distance of 50 km from the meteorological stations.
